Our goal is to allow children the opportunity to expand their knowledge by offering a program with strong academics and exciting extracurricular activities. Meals & Nutrition
Students are expected to bring a packed lunch or order a hot lunch through the EZ Schools App.
Our hot lunch program is offered daily at an additional charge.
- Meals feature seasonal fruits and vegetables, nutritious entrees, and water or milk.
- Orders can be placed daily, weekly, or monthly.
- Same-day orders must be placed by 8:45am.
Refrigerators and microwaves are available for lunches brought from home.

Providing a safe and healthy environment for students is our top priority.
Open Door Policy & Security
- Parents are welcome to visit the campus and classroom at any time, but must sign-in at the office.
- All students must be signed in and out of school each day by a parent or authorized family member/friend.
Emergency Preparedness
- Teachers and staff have been trained in CPR and First Aid.
- All staff have completed comprehensive training in fire, earthquake, and lockdown procedures.
- Regular drill practices are done at all grade levels.

Parents stay informed through our web-based program called QuickSchools. Teachers store updates on assignments, grades, attendance, behavior, school activities, etc. through this website.
Fall PacketCommunity
Life Skills Program
Our Life Skills Program serves to teach our students good character skills such as responsibility, integrity, and perseverance. Each month, students learn a different Life Skill and then one student is chosen from each grade level who best exhibited those Life Skills traits. Students are awarded with a Life Skills Certificate and attend a special luncheon with the Principal.
Student Council
Student Council offers students leadership opportunities and allows them to identify, discuss, and solve Middle School issues and plan upcoming events. Each fall, students elect a Student Body President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Class Representative for every grade level. Meetings are held once a month.
Community Service
In an effort to provide hands-on educational experiences to our students, West Valley Middle School requires 6-8th grade students to obtain five hours of community service per quarter. Several school sponsored community service activities are offered throughout the school year. Sixth grade students are permitted to complete their hours of service on school grounds, while seventh and eighth grade students are encouraged to perform services offsite to better their communities.

Social Events
Throughout the school year West Valley Middle School hosts a variety of fun events that build school spirit.
Socials
West Valley hosts two family socials throughout the school year to give families an opportunity to socialize with each other and to also provide students with a safe place to connect with friends in a fun atmosphere. Some of our most popular themes have been Mexican Fiesta, Hawiian Luau and Spring Carnival!
School Dances
There are several dances throughout the school year. Dances are typically from 6:30pm-9pm, on a Friday evening, unless otherwise announced. Students can join the West Valley Dance Commitee to help plan, organize, and decorate the dances.
Wildcat Night
Welcome to Wildcat Night! This annual social event invites students to spend a memorable evening on campus connecting with classmates and staff. There's plenty of fun each year, with hours of games, activities, and entertainment planned. Come hungry, too, because WVMS provides pizza and a special treat for students, along with tons of pot-luck snacks and drinks.
