Toddler Program
2 to 3 year-olds
Always on the move, toddlers are eager to join the ‘big kids.” Our program combines a trusted curriculum with opportunities to explore individual interests and develop social-emotional skills.
A Running Start
Toddlers are eager to learn, with feet and minds ready to assert their independence. We create meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity, nurture independent thinking, and give children the freedom to explore activities they enjoy most.

Purposeful Play
Play is learning in motion. Our activities are designed to inspire curiosity, support skill development, and offer opportunities for toddlers to explore concepts in their own way.

Solid Foundations
Through intentionally curated learning experiences, toddlers develop early language, beginning number sense, and problem-solving skills. These early skills create a strong foundation for confident, capable learning.

Confident Connections
With patient support, toddlers practice sharing, taking turns, and expressing their feelings. These moments help them grow in empathy, build trust, and form early friendships.

We proudly use the Action Star Learning Curriculum across all our infant and preschool locations. Developed exclusively for Action Day Schools by leading educational experts, it combines over 55 years of experience with California standards. We know every student learns differently. Our curriculum provides a flexible framework that gives teachers the freedom to adapt and evolve lessons to best support the unique needs of each child.
Toddler Curriculum
Language & Literacy
Stories, rhymes, and alphabet play help toddlers build vocabulary, strengthen listening skills, and begin recognizing letter sounds and shapes.

Math Foundations
Counting songs, shape sorting, matching, and measuring activities introduce early number concepts, patterns, and comparisons.

Science
Sensory exploration, nature walks, and simple experiments encourage observation, prediction, and discovery.

Art
Painting, drawing, cutting, and gluing allow toddlers to strengthen fine motor skills while expressing their creativity.

Music & Movement
Dancing, singing, and playing instruments build coordination, rhythm, and a love for music.

Physical Education
Games and outdoor play develop strength, balance, and coordination.
Innovation Pods
Innovation Pods give Action Day students the chance to explore, create, and problem-solve in new ways. Each week, children work with open-ended materials to complete a hands-on activity or solve a developmentally appropriate challenge. Innovation Pod time is a highlight every week!
