For confident walkers who love running outside on the infant playground, are taking one nap a day, and have graduated from a bottle to a sippy cup.
We are proud to utilize Action Star Learning Curriculum throughout all our infant center and preschool locations. Rooted in our 55 years of dedicated observation and cultivation of young minds, Action Star Learning curriculum was developed exclusively for Action Day by renowned curriculum and educational leaders.
In our pursuit of excellence, we’ve not only embraced the California standards as a foundational benchmark but have ventured beyond. The Action Star Learning Curriculum integrates these standards with a wealth of additional content, all the while staying true to our experiential learning philosophy and overarching mission to empower children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills in a fun, loving, and innovation friendly environment. To ensure a seamless experience for all, a consistent semi-structured daily schedule is implemented across all our campuses.
One of the cornerstones of this curriculum lies in its thematic approach. Every month, our students will embark on a voyage of exploration and discovery. These themes, thoughtfully selected to mirror various facets of your child’s everyday life, cover a wide array of subjects such as transportation, animals and habitats, bubbles, nature, and more. Through engaging, hands-on activities, we will delve into these themes, nurturing growth not only in math, literacy, and science but also in social development, and large and fine motor skills.
Benefits of Infant Center Care
Early Socialization
Infant centers provide opportunities for babies to interact with their peers, fostering early socialization skills. This can contribute to the development of important social and emotional skills, such as sharing, taking turns, and forming attachments with caregivers and other children.
Professional Care and Supervision
Trained infant teachers and caregivers in these centers are equipped with knowledge about early childhood development, ensuring that infants receive appropriate care, nutrition, and stimulation. This professional supervision contributes to the child’s overall well-being and development.
Structured Learning Environments
Infant centers often offer age-appropriate activities and environments that stimulate cognitive development. These activities may include sensory play, tummy time, and exposure to different textures and materials, all of which support early learning.
Consistent Daily Routine
Infants thrive on routine, and many infant centers provide a structured daily schedule, including regular feeding times, naps, and play. Consistency in routines helps infants feel secure and allows parents to coordinate their schedules more effectively.
Parental Peace of Mind
Knowing that their child is in a secure and professionally managed environment, parents can have peace of mind while they are at work or engaged in other responsibilities. This can reduce stress and allow parents to focus on

Preparation for Later Education
Infant center care can serve as a positive introduction to the learning environment, setting the stage for future educational experiences. Children who have early exposure to socialization and learning activities may be better prepared for later transitions to preschool and formal education.
Tab Content
Infant centers provide a practical solution for parents who need to work or pursue other commitments. Having a reliable childcare option allows parents to maintain their careers and other responsibilities while ensuring their child is well-cared-for in a nurturing environment.

What to Wear
Each day will be filled with both indoor and outdoor activities. It is important that you provide your child with washable play clothes that can withstand food spills, paint, sand, and water play. Please be sure to label all articles of clothing that might be removed throughout the day (i.e. jackets, sweaters, hats, and any extra clothing).
In addition, your child’s shoes need to cover his or her whole foot and must be worn at all times. If your child loses any of his or her items, please check with the school’s director. All locations keep a lost-and-found basket for a period of three weeks.
School Hours
The complete school hours are 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Full-day and half-day programs are available, but please note that there will be overtime charges assessed for each 15 minutes you are late.
Rest Periods
Your child’s day will be very full, so children up to the age of five have a daily scheduled rest period. For children ages birth through 12 months, the rest period is scheduled according to their “Needs and Service Plan.” Infants are offered a morning and/or afternoon nap.
Action Day Schools provides all linens, sheets, and blankets for infants from birth through 18 months old.
Meals and Nutrition
Our children receive two nutritious snacks each day. One will be provided in the morning, and another will be provided in the afternoon. A detailed snack menu will be posted at each location.
Breakfast brought from home will be served when the center opens at 7am. However, if a child misses breakfast for any reason, the morning snack is provided at 9am.
For an additional charge, we offer a daily, nutritious hot lunch at most of our locations. Refrigerators and microwaves are also available at each center for lunch brought from home.
